Making desalination more eco-friendly
Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, Jovan Kamcev, and his lab have developed an electrodialysis device that uses ion selective membranes to separate salt from water. The membrane allows them to recover more clean water from the brine, and at the same time crystallize the salt from the water, eliminating excessive brine waste.

The University of Michigan's Symphony Band toured the state for the first time in 30 years, offering free clinics to high school students and performing in 11 communities from Belleville to Interlochen.
