Membership and Pricing Structure
To allow you the most flexibility, we have several options available
for membership. Depending on which activities you would prefer, you
can get one or more of the following membership or pass options(*).

Membership
Membership is open at all times during the year, and is subject to the quotas as mentioned in the constitution. A member is defined as someone who has:
a)applied for membership on the website (Membership Application Form)
b)paid the membership dues
U of M students who apply and pay membership dues automatically become members. All others have to be approved by the membership officer depending on existing non-U of M and affiliate quotas. Membership fee once paid is not refundable.
Benefits of membership:
Obtaining membership gives members discounts on the different passes and allows a member to vote and run for elections. To attend club events, members have to still purchase the relevant pass.

Usership
One can choose not to become a member, or not be eligible to be a member (due to quota restrictions). Such persons are defined as Club Users.
Benefits:
Users can attend all club events on purchase of the relevant pass and are welcome to serve in other capacities in the club, such as, EOs, teachers, DJs. They cannot cannot vote or run for elections. They also have to pay the higher fees for events and cannot purchase a half-year or a full-year pass.
Description of Passes
Membership Dues(yearly): All members have to apply for membership and pay the membership dues to become a club member. Membership is open any time. This is non-refundable and only allows members to vote and run for elections. Attending club activities requires additional purchase of a pass. Membership gives members substantial discounts.
Drop-in Pass:This pass is for people who wish to drop-in for any one club event, i.e. class, practica or milonga. Same price for members and users.
User Series Pass: This includes entry to all milongas, practicas, and classes in the ongoing eight week series. There are six such series in a year.
Member Series Pass:This includes entry to all milongas, practicas, and classes in the ongoing eight week series. There are six such series in a year.
Series Milonga Pass:This entry to only all milongas in a lesson series. Same price for members and users.
Member Half Year Pass: This includes all milongas, practicas, and classes from Jan 01 to Jun 30 or Jul 01 to Dec 31. These can be purchased at any time and will not be prorated.
Member Full Year Pass: This includes entry to all milongas, practicas, and classes in the calendar year.
Note:
Entry to special events such as club festivals, workshops will not be included in any of the above (unless specified).

Please Note:
*Additional memberships are subject to the constitution. Refer to the constitution for details on the definition of the members.
**Attendance benefits expire when the pass expires. Voting rights expire at the end of calendar year.
We are a non-profit organization and the full amount of
these membership fees are used to pay for rooms, workshops, and other
expenses to increase the quality of our club and its
activities.
