Advanced tango for a fluid embrace (Week 3 of 6): Turns and Sacadas
by Mira and Aleric
8:00-9:30pm

General practica, 9:30pm-11:30pm

In this series, we shall build up from the basics of smooth transitions between different kinds of embraces within the dance. We shall then focus on advanced moves that can be executed with ease and musically outside the traditional tango box. You should expect to be comfortable and confident in your dance by the end of the series.

Turns form an integral part of the dance. Turns not only enhance your ability to express the music but also serve as an important navigational tool. This Monday we shall cover more options for turns as well as explore the basics of sacadas.

Tired of crowded Wednesday nights? Looking for a nice hardwood floor? Want to be a better dancer?
Come to our Monday night practica! Dancers of all levels will be around to help you work on specific aspects of your dance. As they say, you need only three things to get better, "Practice, practice, and more practice!".

Need a ride? Can you offer someone else a ride? Join the MATC Ride Share list! If you'd like to join this list, please e-mail Gloria at gloriamaria@gmail.com.
