Ashley Diederich comes to the Wolverines after a four-year career on the Miami University Senior Team. Miami University has one of the few synchronized skating teams in the nation that is a varsity program.

Diederich possesses an impressive resume on the ice, having earned gold medals in moves in the field, freestyle, and dance. As a member of the Miami University Synchronized Skating Team in 2007, she was part of the first ever US team to earn a medal at the World Championships. That same year, she was awarded the Most Outstanding Skater Award. Diederich was also a part of the 2006 National Senior Championship team at Miami. Her skating career included national competitions with Fraser Eclipse and Miami University from 1997-2007.
