MLAT Test Information

MLAT stands for Modern Language Aptitude Test. The majority of students who are interested in this test are trying to get substitution for the language requirement.

This test is offered through our office and is facilitated by Dr. Stuart Segal. It is offered twice a semester (fall and winter) and once in the summer months. The dates change each semester due to room scheduling.

Tests are free of charge and all UM students are eligible to take it (including UM-Flint and Dearborn). Students need not register for this test. If you have any questions regarding a language substitution please contact Dr. Stuart Segal at 734-764-7485 or email him at sssegal@umich.edu.

Test results are available within a week and can be retrieved by contacting Dr. Stuart Segal. He will also send information to LSA Advising.
