Wrigley Jr. Company represents women as objects in this ad. The female model’s head is replaced with a lamp shade and bright light bulb. By objectifying and dehumanizing women, it contributes to a culture where women are devalued.  It treats a woman as a non-human being who does not have emotions and does not deserve respect. Therefore, it tells people that women are targets or objects of violence and abuse.
