Welcome
SAPAC provides educational and supportive services for the University of Michigan community related to sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, sexual harassment, and stalking.
We are committed to fulfilling this mission in a culturally-sensitive, empowering, and empathic way to University of Michigan students, faculty, and staff.
SAPAC offers a number of services to the University of Michigan community including education and training, information and referral, crisis intervention, advocacy, and special events.
In addition, SAPAC offers rewarding volunteer opportunities in the Networking, Publicity, & Activism; Peer Education; and Men's Activism Programs.
I am passionate about domestic and dating violence because many people in my life have been impacted. Their stories have inspired me to take action, because being active in organizations like SAPAC seems to make the most difference in people's lives. I sometimes feel overwhelmed and helpless when I hear about how my friends and family members have been assaulted or harassed because of their gender, race, or class. SAPAC and other prevention-oriented organizations help me feel less helpless and remind me that change can and does happen. I want women and men to feel safe and comfortable in their skin, but much needs to change before that can happen. It starts with awareness and dialogue, and sustains with action and hope for better relationships.
