The Faculty Women’s Club Endowment was established eight years ago. The goal of the Endowment Committee is to stimulate continued and new support. Over the coming years, we hope to "grow" the endowment and, as a result, increase our support for projects that benefit the University community. Whether $5.00, $25.00, $100.00, or more, we welcome your donations! The highlights below will give you some insight into how the endowment works and what you can do to support it.

How the Endowment Works
The FWC Endowment is a small part of the University of Michigan Endowment. An analogy is that the FWC Endowment has shares in the "mutual fund" of stocks and bonds and other assets that compose the total of the University of Michigan Endowment. We receive approximately 5% profit each year from the Endowment. This goes into a "spendable" fund that the FWC Endowment Committee uses to fund U-M activities that are deemed worthy. Our recommendations are relayed to the VP and Secretary of the University’s office for a final decision before the actual transfer takes place. The 5% we receive is approximately $5,000 annually and is available for disbursal.
