.::Aunt Jemima Maple Syrup::.

 

Once again using the face of an African American servant in order to woo consumers, Aunt Jemima syrup origianlly used the moniker "From Jemima's kitchen" and included an image of a "mammy" complete with headwrap and handkerchief around the neck. Since its inception, Aunt Jemima has since become less and less stereotypical in her depiction (now with apron, gray hair streaks, and pearl earrings) all while maintaing the original formula.
