.::Cream of Wheat::.

 

A staple of low/middle-class breakfast, Cream of Wheat was first introduced in the 1893 Fair. The product again portrayed the innovative and changing uses of grain in this timeperiod. The product, with it's longtime African-American servant trademark, has since been chided for its subversive racist depiction (earlier boxes portrayed the image with a smiling African-American male with no shoes or shirt on, simply pants and suspenders).
