The Computer and Video Game Archive in the lower level (basement) of the Art, Architecture and Engineering Library collects materials relating to games for the purpose of academic inquiry, including but not limited to:


  1. Programming and technology

  2. Artistic and literary expression

  3. Social and cultural impact

  4. Instruction and education


Visitors to the archive can play a wide variety of games from the 1970s to the present. The archive does not allow games to be loaned out; it is instead equipped with a complete collection of consoles and related equipment for visitors to use.
