Art Matters Week is an
annual event held at the end of March. During Art
Matters Week, we creatively adorn prominent art works
on campus, including Daedalus, Sunday Morning in Deep Waters, Regeneration of Time, and The Rock, in order to draw attention to works
of art on campus and to art in general. Informative
signs providing fun facts about the pieces are
mounted nearby. The goal of Art Matters Week is to
inspire students to recognize and appreciate the
presence of art in their surroundings. We are
currently collecting poems to hand out in the Diag
during the next Art Matters Week.

This event is held every
fall on the Diag and its surrounding environs. It
consists of various artists performing their crafts.
Included in the performances are diferent genres of
dance, painting, theater, music, and sculpture. In
addition to inspiring students to recognize and
appreciate art, we hope this event will expose
students to art with which they may not be previously
familiar and perhaps provide them with the
opportunity to observe how some art is made.
