POKEY... THE ATARI 800/800XL/5200 EMULATOR! ______________________________________________________________________ What is Pokey? Well I was pretty frustrated by the lack of a good Atari 8-bit emulator for the MSDOS market. There was really only one emulator out there for PC systems and it didn't support sound or joysticks at the time. There were a couple nice Atari emulators for Unix (see below) that worked very well, but I didn't have the space for Linux at the time. So I started working on Pokey. I was delayed for awhile working on Pokey while I was in the process of moving, but now things have settled down and I am pretty pleased with its preformance. ______________________________________________________________________ Pokey Features: * Pokey Printer Port Sound Card support * Runs on MSDOS Systems (Pentium Peferred) * 800/800 XL emulation * 5200 game console emulation * Run 8K/16K/OSS Super Carts Standard * 320 X 200 screen (scrollable) or Mode X (320 X 240 or 360 X 240) * Supports two PC joysticks (swapple on the fly or upon loading) * DLI and VBI supported. * All antic modes * Player Missle Graphics with collision detection * GTIA graphics * Reads XFD and ATR * Supports loading disk images on the fly in slots D1-D8 (menu driven) * Horizontal and vertical fine scrolling * System Monitor * FREEWARE!!!!!!
