• Campus Comes To Life

    There's definitely a buzz in the air in Ann Arbor. U-M students are back in town and ready to start the new school year. There are a variety of Welcome Events happening across campus to help students get back into the "spin" of things.

  • Entering the EEG-EGG

    Lia Min, a Project LIAison fellow sponsored by the Life Sciences Institute and the Stamps School of Art & Design, created an exhibit exploring the intersection of neuroscience and art. Her fellowship is part of U-M’s efforts to bring the life sciences and art closer together.

  • National Champs

    The U-M Solar Car Team has won the American Solar Challenge for the fifth consecutive time. Michigan raced its car, Quantum, against 22 other teams of college students in the 1,700-mile race, which happens every other year on a different course.

  • New lightweight metals institute

    A new $148 million American Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute plans to open this fall in the city of Detroit. This public-private partnership is co-led by U-M, the Ohio-based manufacturing technology nonprofit EWI and The Ohio State University.
